The Golden Age of Television 📺 Costume Designs!

Contemporary television 📺 is simply REMARKABLE for it’s creativity!

People love great storylines… with great characters… wearing great costumes.

Let’s face it… Outstanding wardrobe is the 🍒 cherry on the cake… when it comes down to what makes a show 💥POP!

You can walk pass a TV… 📺 with no sound turned up… and double back….”IF” what the characters are wearing grabs your attention.

When that happens… you’ll probably ✋🏽stop… maybe have a seat 💺… zero in on what’s unfolding on screen… and BAM! You’re HOOKED!!!

Great Costumes can generate a lot of “BUZZ” for a show!

It can be absolutely mesmerizing to see those vivid colors and designs! They help paint perfect images… to make stories…come ALIVE!!!

The industry is 💥booming with diverse programming on network stations, streaming sites, and cable channels.

Eye catching Designs from a variety of 2016-2017 Emmy Award nominated shows… have been featured in a ✨glorious✨ exhibit at The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM)

This exhibit presents an extraordinary selection of garments and accessories acquired through the generous support of Linda and Steven Plochocki, long-time benefactors of the FIDM Museum.

This annual exhibition includes a variety of Emmy Award-nominated shows….

exploring themes of digital research, fandoms, re-launches, and the fast-paced work environment on set.

Audience favorites include shows such as… The Crown… (Netflix)

This is Us… (NBC )

 Big Little Lies (HBO)

Stranger Things” costumes by Kimberly Adams-Galligan

“American Horror Story: Roanoke” costumes by Lou Eyrich.

One of my personal favorites… for Bright & Beautiful wardrobe is….

The Mindy Project!!!! 💚💜💙💛❤️

I’m always looking forward to the cute….fashion looks worn by the star ⭐️ of the show…. “Mindy Kaling….”

I’ve always loved ❤️ watching period 🕛 shows… with extraordinary costumes…

It’s absolutely WONDERFUL looking at those exquisite designs… from centuries ago…

So many intricate details…

Fabrics… and details that are so delicate…and beautiful..

And finally….Characters complete those awe inspiring costume looks… with really cool accessories!

It’s one thing… to see these fashions on the small screen 📺…. but it’s truly a TREAT to see them up close…

The next time you hear about a museum spotlighting a special costume collection…. 👉🏽 Go!!!!!!
